The Department of Botany, Arts, Commerce and Science College, Kharepatan was established in 2019. From the time of establishment the education imparting by college is under graduation. Mr. Pratik D. Natekar was the first Head holding the charge of the Botany Department. In the year of establishment the Department had 14 students and one staff member. The Botany Department was established in year 2019 with the sole aim of providing Botanical education to the rural students. At present one full time contractual faculty and one visiting faculty are working in the department as well as 17 students are pursuing their undergraduate studies. Mr. Prajyot S. Nalawade is the current Head of the Botany Department. B. Sc. course with a combination of Botany, Zoology and Chemistry is offered by College.

The department is committed to integrate all facets of Botany to educate, train innovative and competent human resources suitable for industry, business and service sector as well as to equip and encourage them to start their own venture in urban or rural areas benefiting both the classes and masses.

- To introduce the concept of Botany.
- To help the students to understand the concept of Botany to impact knowledge as applicable to agriculture, horticulture and forestry.
- To give exposure to the students to different ideas and acquaint them to the contribution made by prominent scientist.
- To guide students and society about sustainable environment management.
- To sensitize students and society regarding entrepreneurship through Agriculture based business as well as horticulture and landscape designing.
